small;"&gt;Com a montagem do telefone de latinha não tivemos problemas. Tivemos dificuldades no momento de entender as palavras e as frases. Nosso projeto poderia ter sido bem melhor, já que infelizmente não alcançamos o resultado esperado, pois não conseguimos acertar o tom de voz necessário que fizesse com que as palavras chegassem com mais nitidez;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: #333333; font-family: Segoe UI; font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: #333333; font-family: Segoe UI; font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: #333333; font-family: Segoe UI; font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;i&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;com isso deixamos de ganhar pontos principalmente com as frases. Na competição final tivemos um problema, o barbante arrebentou, mas felizmente estávamos preparadas e tentamos continuar com um telefone reserva. Contudo, os pontos que ganhamos não foram suficientes para sermos classificadas.&lt;br /&gt;Nosso relatório está praticamente pronto, faltando somente parte do item 4, e o item 12.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div class="separator" style="clear: both; "Assim como a energia solar está liberando algumas residências de pagar contas de energia elétrica, esta nova e promissora fonte de energia poderá ter um efeito semelhante."&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;Eletricidade atmosférica&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;A descoberta do professor Galembeck parece resolver um enigma científico que já dura séculos: como a eletricidade é produzida e descarregada na atmosfera.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;No início da Revolução Industrial, os cientistas perceberam que o vapor que saía das caldeiras gerava faíscas de eletricidade estática - trabalhadores que se aproximavam dos vapores eram frequentemente atingidos pelos choques elétricos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;Mas essa eletricidade se forma também em locais mais amenos, quando o vapor de água se junta a partículas microscópicas no ar, o mesmo processo que leva à formação das nuvens - é aí que começam a nascer os relâmpagos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;Nikola Tesla ficou famoso pelas suas tentativas de capturar e utilizar essa eletricidade do ar, tentativas infelizmente nem sempre bem-sucedidas.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;Mas, até agora, os cientistas não tinham um conhecimento suficiente sobre os processos envolvidos na formação e na liberação de eletricidade a partir da água dispersa pela atmosfera.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;"Se nós soubermos como a eletricidade se acumula e se espalha na atmosfera, nós também poderemos evitar as mortes e os danos provocados pelos raios," estima Galembeck.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;Higroeletricidade&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;Os cientistas sempre consideraram que as gotas de água na atmosfera são eletricamente neutras, e permanecem assim mesmo depois de entrar em contato com as cargas elétricas nas partículas de poeira e em gotículas de outros líquidos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;Mas o professor Fernando Galembeck e sua equipe descobriram que a água na atmosfera adquire sim uma carga elétrica.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;O grupo brasileiro confirmou essa ideia por meio de experimentos de laboratório que simulam o contato da água com as partículas de poeira no ar.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;Eles usaram minúsculas partículas de sílica e fosfato de alumínio - ambas substâncias comumente dispersas no ar - para demonstrar que a sílica se torna mais negativamente carregada na presença de alta umidade, enquanto o fosfato de alumínio se torna mais positivamente carregado.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;span style="color: white;"&gt;"Esta é uma evidência clara de que a água na atmosfera pode acumular cargas elétricas e transferi-las para outros materiais que entrem em contato com ela," explicou Galembeck.
